Dr. Eric W. Bantz, MD
Dr. Eric Bantz, M.D. is Board Certified by the American Board of Allergy & Immunology and the American Board of Pediatrics. He is a Fellow of the American College of Allergy, Asthma, & Immunology. Dr. Bantz is a graduate of the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, NY and received his medical degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo. He completed his internship and residency at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, serving as Chief Resident in Pediatrics. He completed his Allergy Fellowship training in Denver at the Fitzsimmons Army Medical Center. Dr. Bantz served as a Colonel in the US Army until 1992, receiving multiple awards and commendations.
Dr. Bantz began his allergy practice in 1993 as the founding partner of Cornerstone Asthma & Allergy Associates. He has considered it both a joy and a privilege to evaluate, treat, and minister to the needs of his patients of all ages. Dr. Bantz has written and published articles in both allergy and pediatric journals. He has frequently been recognized as a “Top Doc” in South Jersey. Dr. Bantz and his wife Sookie have two daughters. In his free time, Dr. Bantz enjoys sports, being involved with his church and volunteering for overseas medical mission trips where he also feels blessed to help take care of patients.
Dr. John Y. Kim, MD
Dr. John Kim is board certified by the American Board of Allergy & Immunology and the National Board of Physicians and Surgeons for Internal Medicine. Born and raised in southern California, Dr. Kim graduated with honors from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). As a recipient of the U.S. Armed Forces Health Professions Scholarship Program he received his medical degree from The Chicago Medical School and completed his residency at Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii.
Dr. Kim served as an U.S. Army physician for seven years and went on to complete a fellowship in Pediatric and Adult Allergy and Immunology in New York at Cohen Children’s Medical Center at North Shore-Long Island Jewish Hospital. He is an active member of the American College of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology. Dr. Kim is the recipient of multiple awards for excellence in medicine in both military as well as civilian roles, and was designated as a “Top Doc” in South Jersey. He believes strongly in providing every patient with both comprehensive medical treatment as well as personable and individualized care. Outside of work, Dr. Kim enjoys making memories with his wife and their three children, Stella, Charlie and Henry. He also spends time serving in the church, fixing things around the house, and exploring restaurants in the area.
Janet Parker, Nurse Practitioner
Our Nurse Practitioner, Janet Parker, joined the Cornerstone family in 2009. Ms. Parker received her nursing diploma from the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia and her bachelor’s degree from the College of Notre Dame in Baltimore. After working for several years as a critical care nurse at the University of Maryland Hospital, Ms. Parker studied perfusion technology at the Texas Heart Institute in Houston. She subsequently ran the heart-lung machine in the operating room at Deborah Heart and Lung Center in Browns Mills, NJ before deciding to return to nursing. Ms. Parker received her Master of Science in Nursing from The College of New Jersey and is certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner. In addition to her keen interest in allergy and asthma, Nurse Parker also works part-time as a Certified Diabetes Educator at Cooper University Hospital in Camden. Ms. Parker loves to travel and has participated in medical missions to Guatemala, Haiti, and Ghana. She spent one month studying Spanish in Bogota, Colombia and another month backpacking 500 miles across northern Spain. She lives in the Waterfront South neighborhood of Camden where she is a parishioner of Sacred Heart Church. Her favorite leisure time activity is scrambling up walls at Go Vertical rock gym in Philadelphia. Having spent most of her life in South Jersey, she has personally experienced many of the woes patients present with to the office. Ms. Parker highlights the importance of taking control of your allergies and asthma to allow you to live life to the fullest!
